New: Choose a temporary email or forwarding alias for your use case
DATA LIFECYCLE

Every piece of data has a boundary—from address creation to automatic expiry

Temporary inboxes and long-term forwarding follow different lifecycles. This roadmap shows retention periods, your control, and what we cannot promise.

LIFECYCLE ROADMAP

Collect, process, present, expire

Data minimization means more than collecting less: every piece of data has a defined purpose and an exit path. Temporary and forwarded mail stay in separate archives.

CreateThe service creates a temporary address, while your browser stores the address, token, and numeric expiry time needed for recovery.
ReceiveIncoming mail is routed by destination address; the temporary inbox displays messages only for the current short-term task.
ProcessForwarded mail is sent to your login email, while its status and body are kept in the dashboard for verification.
ExpireThe temporary inbox expires, a forwarding archive passes its retention window, or you delete an alias or individual message.

SECURITY FAQ

Clear boundaries matter more than absolute claims

Can I recover a temporary email after it expires?

No. You can recover it from the same browser while it is valid, but after expiry the address is no longer a reliable entry point.

Are attachments stored in the temporary archive?

No attachments are retained. For an ongoing relationship that requires files, use a forwarding alias or a trusted mailbox.

What happens when I delete an alias?

You no longer control that entry point, and future mail should not be expected to reach it. Update the email address on related accounts before deleting it.

How do I submit a data request?

Email support@masksend.com with your account email and request type. Do not include your password or verification code.
